Riffa, Bahrain, August 20, 2017 - Czech Republic worked on the urgency to win and completed a 3-1 match against China on Sunday at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boy’s U19 World Championship in Isa City Sports Hall.
Czech Republic coach Jiri Zach: It was important for us to feel that we could win today, to gain a good chance to proceed to the top eight teams. We have not played against China before. In the first set, we felt nervous and made some mistakes. But soon after, we played much better.
Czech Republic player Jan Svoboda: This was an important match for us. We needed to win, and I think we played well. In the first set, China played with good service, block and reception. But we tried to adjust to these aspects and improved our play.
