Russia coach Andrey Nozdrin underlined the importance of their service against China in their 3-1 win in the Round of 16 of the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship

Riffa, Bahrain, August 24, 2017 – Russia coach Andrey Nozdrin said that their hard serve was key to their 3-1 win over China in the Round of 16 of the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship at the Isa City Sports Hall on Thursday.

Russia coach Andrey Nozdrin: We had so many mistakes in this match, but the China committed more mistakes. We had some difficulty in the first set because of their quickness that is why we made some adjustments and served hard against them in the succeeding sets.

Russia captain Konstantin Abaev: We played a great match as China are good opponents. They played a very good first set against our team and we lost that set because we had many mistakes in reception. After that, we had better service, defence and block to win the match.
