Nehad Shehata was born in Dakahliya, Egypt on February 02, 1975. He debuted in the Egyptian Premier League in 2009 with El-Shams Club as an assistant coach, a role that he didn't keep for long. In very short period he took the responsibility of being the Head Coach of the Egyptian Men's Junior Team on the season of 2012 in Qatar International Championship. On 2015 he was the Head Coach of the Egyptian Men's Senior Team in FIVB Men's World Cup 2015 in Japan achieving the 10th place. On 2016 he was the Head Coach of the Egyptian Men's Senior Team in the FIVB World League Group 2 achieving the 7th Place. later on 2016 he was appointed as an Assistant Coach for the Egyptian Men's Senior Team in Rio Olympic Games achieving with the team the 9th place.
Shehata was the first Egyptian to ever Participate in the Olympics as a member of the staff after participating once as a player back in 2000 in Sydney Olympic Games.
