Team profile

China

China U19 boys’ team was set up in 2016. The team got the bronze medal in the 2017 Asian U19 Boys’ Volleyball Championship and qualified for the World Championship in Bahrain.  
 
Best young players were selected nationwide from 11 clubs, with an average age of 17.6 years and an average height of 197.44cm (not counting the libro). The boys’ team follows the same training and development system as the senior team with an aim to provide talent reserves for the China senior national men’s team.

Wang Haichuan

Wang Haichuan

Head coach WANG Haichuan, a former national team’s player, became the assistant coach of the boys’ team in 2015 and participated in the FIVB U19 Boys’ World Championship the same year. Mr. WANG was appointed head coach of the team in 2016, and led the team to a bronze medal in 2017 Asian U19 Boys' Championship.
